Craddick files for March 4th Primary |

(AUSTIN) - Speaker Tom Craddick (R - Midland), today, announced that he has filed the necessary paperwork to run in the March 4, 2008 Republican primary for state representative of House District 82. "It is a tremendous honor to serve the voters of District 82, and to work every day to create jobs and opportunity for the people of the Permian Basin," Speaker Craddick said. "For a number of years I have represented the conservative philosophy of our district by advocating for limited government, lower taxes and investments in public and higher education. I would be honored to serve the Permian Basin for another two years in the Texas House."
In addition to his extensive career in public service, Speaker Craddick is a sales representative for Mustang Mud, an oilfield supply company, he owns Craddick Properties, a Midland investment business, and he is president of Craddick, Inc. He holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
Speaker Craddick is married to the former Nadine Nayfa, a native of Sweetwater. They have two children, Christi and Thomas Russell, Jr., who is married to the former Laura Parker. Tommy and Laura's 2-year-old son is the Speaker and Nadine's first grandchild.
