The State Preservation Board is pleased to introduce the 2007 Capitol Ornament, twelfth in the series of annual collectible ornaments.
This year’s ornament features the magnificently carved wood doors that grace the halls of the Capitol. Presented in three dimension, the ornament depicts a set of interior doors with beautifully displayed embossed-glass door lights (the glass areas in a door) and transom. The delicate Victorian scroll work in each piece of glass surrounds the State Seal of Texas prominently displayed in its center.
 The ornament measures 2 1/2" x 3" and is finished in 24K gold. Presented in an elegant velour-lined box, each ornament includes a leaflet relating the history of the doors and their decorative glass.
